Spanish shares drop 0.50 pct Thursday

MADRID, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.50 percent or 52.50 points, to 10,399 points.

A total of 19 of the selected 35 large companies fell in the day.

The world's leading retailer, Inditex, lost 2.01 percent, followed by chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols and renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa that went down 1.78 percent and 1.63 percent respectively.

Energy company Gas Natural advanced 2.61 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Consultancy and technology company Indra A rose 2.45 percent and Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas was up 2.11 percent. Enditem
