CBOT wheat, soybeans lower over profit-taking

Xinhua,February 02, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat and soybean futures continued to slide on Thursday morning amid profit-taking.

As of 1540 GMT, March corn was unchanged at 3.615 U.S. dollars per bushel while March wheat was down 5 cents at 4.4675 dollars and March soybeans down 7.75 cents at 9.925 dollars per bushel.

Funds have been selling contracts after prices surged earlier this week and farmers took advantage of the price hike to lock in sales, said market observers.

As a result, Wednesday's corrective price action deepened during Thursday morning session, though market fundamentals have changed little. Enditem
