NAIROBI, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Thursday.

-- Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday came under fire for skipping the swearing-in ceremony of their leader Raila Odinga as the People's President. The three were accused of betrayal despite having supported the event and toured the country with Odinga to popularize it.

NASA leaders castigated the three likening them to cowards, but in a statement, the principals said they would meet Odinga first before addressing a joint press conference on Friday. They reiterated they were in NASA to stay. (The Standard)

-- The vetting of President Uhuru Kenyatta's nine nominees to the Cabinet will take place on Thursday and Friday next week. Parliament invited the public to submit their views on the persons. (Daily Nation)

-- Kenya is among 23 countries in Africa that will benefit from the freshly launched Single African Airline Transport Market, a move expected to lower air fares in the continent by 25 percent. The agreement will make it easier for Africans to move around the continent without the hassle of visa paperwork. (The Star).
