WASHINGTON -- The U.S. State Department on Wednesday added Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh into its terrorist list.

ALGIERS -- Algerian counterterrorism troops killed 13 armed militants since the beginning of January, said a statement Defense Ministry on Wednesday.

AMMAN -- Jordan said Wednesday it was following up on the killing, decapitating and dismembering of a Jordanian woman in the United States.

WASHINGTON -- The White House confirmed that one person was dead and no lawmakers were seriously injured in a collision involving a trash truck and a chartered train in U.S. state of Virginia on Wednesday.

LISBON -- The number of people infected in the latest Legionella outbreak in Portugal climbed to 13 on Wednesday, the country's Directorate-General of Health (DGS) announced.

TRIPOLI -- Libya's army in the southern city of Brak Al-Shati on Wednesday killed two Islamic State (IS) militants, an army source said.
