KABUL -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Kabul, north, and northeastern regions of Afghanistan at 11:40 a.m. local time on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter, with a depth of 191.19 km, was initially determined to be at 36.5432 degrees north latitude and 70.8155 degrees east longitude, according to USGS.(Afghanistan-Quake)

NEW DELHI -- India on Wednesday launched the third of its six Scorpene-class submarines, named "INS Karanj", at the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) in Mumbai city, said Indian Navy officials.
The submarine would go through year-long tests before it finally gets commissioned for the Indian Navy. It was built under the "Project 75" of the Indian Navy, which is supposed to build six such submarines.(India-Submarine)
