Tang Dengjie elected governor of east China's Fujian

FUZHOU, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Tang Dengjie was elected governor of east China's Fujian Province at a session of the provincial legislature Wednesday.

The election was held at the first session of the 13th Fujian Provincial People's Congress.

Born in 1964, Tang is a native of Jianhu, Jiangsu Province.

He served as vice minister of Industry and Information Technology from May 2017 and was appointed acting governor of Fujian earlier this month. Enditem
