KATHMANDU -- The Nepali Energy Ministry has sent the initial feasibility report of a cross-border transmission line to be constructed on the Nepali side to China, a senior official of the ministry said.
Nepal had requested China to provide assistance for the construction of the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung (Geelong) Cross-Border Transmission line during former Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's visit to China in March 2016. (Nepal-China-Transmission)

KATHMANDU -- A team of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier of the Himalayan nation, left for China to take delivery of two remaining Chinese-made Y-12e planes on Tuesday.
The state-owned airline of Nepal had signed a commercial agreement with China's AVIC International Aero-Development to procure six aircraft -- two 56-seater MA60 and four 17-seater Y12e in November 2012. (Nepal-China-Planes)

YANGON, -- Myanmar's northwestern Chin state government has vowed to crack down on carrying illegal firearms due to excessive hunting across the state, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Wednesday.
The Chin state government called for wildlife conservation in the state while stressing the need to control carrying guns, warning that those who carry unlicensed guns will get a seven-year prison sentence. (Myanmar-Firearms)

SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics, the world's largest maker of memory chips, display panels and TVs, posted the biggest operating profit in the company's history in the fourth quarter of last year, the regulatory filing showed Wednesday.
