CHICAGO, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities were trading higher on Tuesday morning with wheat futures climbing to four month highs.
As of 1548 GMT, March corn was up 2 cents at 3.6075 U.S. dollars per bushel while March wheat was up 5 cent at 4.5425 dollars and March soybeans up 4 cents at 9.955 dollars per bushel.
The poor winter wheat condition in U.S. plains has pushed the wheat prices much higher.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), crop conditions in Kansas was rated only 14 percent good or excellent as of Sunday. About 10 percent was rated very poor, 34 percent poor and 42 percent was fair.
Kansas is the biggest grower of winter wheat in the United States. The monthly USDA crop reports reflected the damage that cold and dry weather has inflicted on U.S. winter wheat during January, said analysts with AgResource company. Enditem
