Dollar trades in upper 108 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 108 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely unchanged from its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.95-96 yen compared with 108.91-109.01 yen in New York and 108.93-94 yen at 5 p.m. local time on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2381-2381 dollars and 134.89-90 yen against 1.2378-2388 dollars and 134.90-135.00 yen in New York and 1.2403-2404 dollars and 135.11-15 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
