French shares drop 0.14 pct on Monday

PARIS, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.14 percent, or 7.56 points, to close at 5,521.59 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 24 lost in the day.

Technipfmc, global leader in oil and gas projects, was down 2.95 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French international luxury group Kering lost 1.72 percent, and world's leader in the Premium spirits industry, Pernod Ricard, lost 1.54 percent.

French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics rose 2.39 percent. French banking group Soicete Generale gained 1.07 percent, and European aviation giant Airbus rose 0.96 percent. Enditem
