PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia -- Malaysia must take advantage of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiatives for its own economic development, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Monday.

ISLAMABAD -- A kid was killed and several others injured in an explosion in Pakistan's south Hyderabad district Monday night, officials said.

Deputy Inspector General Police Javed Odho said the blast occurred due to the explosion of firecrackers material in Qasim Abad area of the district located in southern Sindh province. (Pakistan-Exposion)

NEW DELHI -- At least 35 people have been killed after a passenger bus crashed through an old bridge and plunged into a deep canal connected to a river in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal Monday, police said.

The accident occurred at Daulatabad in Murshidabad district, some 220 km from the state capital Kolkata.(India-Bus Crash)

SUVA -- The vulnerable Pacific Island region and its communities are particularly threatened by illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, a Fijian minister warned here on Monday.

Speaking at a symposium at the University of the South Pacific (USP), Fiji's Minister for Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau said that illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing robbed the rich Pacific island nations of its development opportunities as it reduced revenue from fisheries, undermined investment and employment opportunities that threatened the sustainability of fish stocks.
