ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Monday.

--Leaders of Ethiopia and Sudan are desirous to advance the bilateral ties so as to make it a model to the region.

During their discussion on Sunday on the sidelines of the AU Summit, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and President Omar al-Bashir discussed ways of further consolidating ties. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

--The African Union Commission has decided Ethiopia to become champion of Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP).
