Indian firing injures 3 Pakistani civilians: army

Xinhua,January 29, 2018 Adjust font size:

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan army said on Sunday that Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in disputed Kashmir region injured three civilians.

An army statement said that Indian troops "resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations in Khuiratta, Kotli and Battal, Rawalakot sector targeting civil population."

Pakistan and India had declared ceasefire along the LoC in 2003 but both sides exchanged firings routinely and accuse each other of ceasefire violations.

The army statement said three citizens including two women got injured due to the Indian firing.

The Pakistani army troops effectively responded to Indian posts from where firing was initiated, the statement added. Enditem
