Stuttgart coach Wolf sacked

Xinhua,January 28, 2018 Adjust font size:

BERLIN, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Struggling VfB Stuttgart sacked coach Hannes Wolf, 36, on Sunday after a 2-0 home defeat to Schalke 04.

Stuttgart are 15th in the table and just three points above the Bundesliga relegation zone.

"After intensive discussions late into the night, it has been decided that Hannes Wolf is no longer the coach of VfB Stuttgart," a statement on the club's website said.

Wolf, who helped Stuttgart win promotion back to Germany's top flight last season, collected only four points in his last eight league games. Enditem
