Deadly car crash kills six in western Georgia

TBILISI, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed in a deadly car crash at Rikoti Tunnel in western Georgia, according to the country's Internal Affairs Ministry on Saturday.

According to the press service of the Ministry, the accident occurred Saturday early morning, at the entrance to the Rikoti tunnel which is close to the city of Khashuri.

Five people died instantly when a truck and a car collided with each other and one passenger was taken to the hospital, where he died in the morning.

All of the victims were from the same family.

The driver of the truck has been arrested and an investigation for the cause of the accident has been initiated. Enditem
