KABUL -- Death toll from an explosive-laden ambulance detonated by a terrorist in Kabul on Saturday rose to 95, with 158 others wounded, according to a Public Health Ministry spokesman.

The blast occurred roughly at 12:50 p.m. local time (0820 GMT) in front of Jamhoriat Hospital, where several government offices are located, spokesman Whahid Majroh told Xinhua via phone. (Afghanistan-Blast-Toll)

THE HAGUE -- A seminar on the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held on Friday in The Hague, attracting dozens of Dutch officials, scholars and businessmen eager to know more about the future of China.

PRAGUE -- Incumbent Czech President Milos Zeman defeated former Science Academy chairman Jiri Drahos in the second round of presidential election on Saturday, and was re-elected the president of Czech Republic.

According to data released by Czech Statistical Office, in the 99.2 percent calculated ballots, Zeman won 51.58 percent of it and Drahos won 48.41 percent. The turnout in the second round was a record high of about 66.5 percent. (Czech Republic-Election-Zeman)

ANKARA -- At least 394 Kurdish militia and Islamic State (IS) members have been killed and captured since the beginning of Turkey's offense into Syria's northwestern Afrin region, the Turkish military said Saturday.

During the operation, the Turkish Armed Forces also destroyed 340 targets, including weapon pits, shelters and ammunition depots, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement. (Turkey-Syria-Afrin-Kurd) Enditem
