TRIPOLI, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Libya's eastern-based army has rescued five Egyptian sailors off the coast of the eastern city of Derna, while 10 others remained missing, said the army on Saturday.

"The navy rescued five Egyptian sailors on Friday after bad weather and engine failure led to the crash of their boat off the Derna coast," said army spokesman Ahmed Mismari.

Mismari added that 10 other sailors are still missing and the search for them were continuing.

The shores of Derna are areas declared by the army as a military zone, where fishing or movement is prohibited without prior permission of the army. Enditem
