Wozniacki beats Halep to win Australian Open women's singles title

MELBOURNE, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark claimed her first Grand Slam title after beating top seed Simona Halep from Romania 7-6 (7/2), 3-6, 6-4 in the Australian Open women's singles final here on Saturday.

Wozniacki, who will take over as world No. 1, secured the win in two hours 49 minutes in Rod Laver Arena. Enditem
