ANKARA -- At least 14 people were killed and 130 others wounded during Turkey's military operation in Kurdish enclave in Afrin province of Syria, a Turkish minister said.
Among the dead, three of them were members of the Turkish army, 11 others were fighters from Turkey-backed Free Syria Army (FSA), the Minister of Health Ahmet Demircan told reporters on Friday. (Turkey-Syria-Afrin)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese Kurds held a protest Friday over the Turkish military operation in Syria's Kurdish-held Afrin region, the LBCI TV reported.

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian government and opposition delegations on Friday agreed on a cease-fire in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta countryside of the capital Damascus during the Syrian talks in Vienna, according to the Saudi-funded Alarabiya TV.
Calling it a breakthrough, the report said both delegations agreed on the cease-fire that will go into effect at midnight Saturday, thus ending a two-month escalation between the government forces and rebels in the Eastern Ghouta region. (Syria-Cease-fire-Damascus)

DAMASCUS -- A total of seven members of the same family were killed Friday by Turkish airstrikes that targeted the Kurdish-held Afrin enclave in northern Syria, the latest in a string of civilian casualties that have fallen by the week-long Turkish campaign.
Syria's official SANA news agency said the family members were killed when the Turkish warplanes targeted the Mobata area in the countryside of Afrin near the Turkish border. (Syria-Turkey-Afrin) Enditem
