Singapore stocks close 0.15 pct lower

SINGAPORE, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 0.15 percent or 5.48 points to close at 3,567.14.

A total of 1.64 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.21 billion Singapore dollars (about 924.62 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 224 to 217.

The STI index closed down 1.01 percent or 36.62 points to close at 3,572.62 on Thursday. Enditem
