Chicago agricultural commodities settle mixed

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains closed mixed on Thursday with soybeans futures giving up earlier gains after topping 10 dollars a bushel for the first time in seven weeks.

Corn futures also slipped after rising on Wednesday, while wheat futures kept its upward trend on traders' technical buying.

The most active corn contract for March delivery fell 1.25 cents, or 0.35 percent to close at 3.5525 dollars per bushel. March wheat delivery rose 1.5 cents, or 0.35 percent to close at 4.345 dollars per bushel. March soybeans stayed unchanged at 9.9225 dollars per bushel.

CBOT floor brokers estimate that funds are net buyers of 2,200 contracts of corn, 1,800 contracts of wheat, and 4,100 contracts of soybeans. Enditem
