German shares lose 0.87 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 116.38 points, or 0.87 percent, to close at 13,298.36 points.

Deutsche Post lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.50 percent, followed by German multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel, which lost 2.12 percent and 1.78 percent respectively.

Multinational chemical firm Linde, Commerzbank and European health care company Fresenius SE were the top three winners, rising 1.12 percent, 0.75 percent and 0.70 percent respectively.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 350.66 million euros (435.06 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
