SINGAPORE, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Cartoon Network Wave, claimed to be the world's first cruise ship to offer fully-thematic cartoon network experience, will make it maiden voyage from Singapore in the fourth quarter of this year, Oceanic Group announced here Thursday.

Chief Executive of the Singapore-based Oceanic Group Daniel Chui and President of the U.S. media giant Turner International Asia Pacific Limited Ricky Ow joined in the press conference to make public their partnership on the cruise.

With 11 decks and more than 800 cabins and suites capable of accommodating 2,000 guests, the cruise promises to provide immersive cartoon experience where tourists can eat, sleep and play with the cartoon characters.

It plans to embark on trips to 13 popular destinations in the Asia Pacific region, including China, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and Japan.

With Singapore's position as a cruise hub in Asia, Chui noted they can ride on the surging tide of the passenger cruise wave.

The Cartoon Network Wave has remarkable potential to offer the cartoon fans a truly unique immersive experience, Ow said. Enditem
