CHICAGO, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded higher on Wednesday morning, with wheat futures surging more than 10 cents on weakened U.S. dollar and freezing drizzle in U.S. Midwest agricultural area.

The U.S. dollar index has fallen below key support as the U.S. Treasury Secretary talks down the greenback at of the world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland. The sharp fall in the greenback is lifting a host of commodity markets.

March corn was up 4.5 cents at 3.557 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1600 GMT, March wheat was 10.25 cents higher at 4.215 dollars, and March soybeans were 1.75 cents higher at 9.88 dollars.

As for international market, the northern half of Brazil will see rainfall chances increasing on the weekend with some heavy rainfall totals in the 7-15 day period. The heavy rains come at a time when the soybean harvest was expected to accelerate. Enditem
