Morocco arrests U.S. citizen over stabbing accident

RABAT, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) --the Moroccan police arrested on Wednesday a U.S. national for his alleged involvement in a knife assault.

The 24-year-old suspect attacked an individual on the street with a knife for no apparent or logical reason before shouting words in Arabic, the police said in a statement.

The victim, who was slightly wounded, received the necessary health care at the hospital, the same source said.

The suspect was remanded in police custody to conduct the investigation led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, it added. Enditem
