LUSAKA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Wednesday.
-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu said he will not allow anyone in the government to ruin his chances of coming back into power after the 2021 general elections.
Lungu, who is on a tour of development projects in the northern part of the country, said he would want to rule Zambia beyond 2021 but added he risked not achieving that goal if his appointees continued with their inertia towards work. (Times of Zambia)
-- The Zambian government has set up a National School of Governance to inculcate acceptable values into public workers and employees of quasi-government institutions.
Civil Service Commission secretary Lenox Kalonde said the school, to be operationalized this year, will build capacity in the public workers. (Zambia Daily Mail)
-- The Indian government has released 18 million U.S. dollars towards completion of 650 health posts in Zambia.
