BiH exports see year-on-year increase of 17.4 pct in 2017

SARAJEVO, Jan.23 (Xinhua) -- Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) amounted to 11.054 billion KM (6.952 billion U.S. dollars) in 2017, registering a year-on-year increase of 17.4 percent, official data revealed on Tuesday.

According to data from BiH Agency for Statistics, imports during the same period reached 18.134 billion KM, up 12.2 percent year-on-year.

The European Union (EU) is the most important trade partner for BiH.

Exports to the EU countries amounted to 7.866 billion KM in 2017, up 16.8 percent year-on-year, while imports from EU totaled 11.076 billion KM, up 10.7 percent year-on-year. (1 U.S. dollar = 1.59 KM) Enditem
