French shares drop 0.12 pct on Tuesday

PARIS, Jan.23 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.12 percent, or 6.73 points, to close at 5,535.26 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 21 lost in the day.

French car manufacturer PEUGEOT was down 1.39 percent, the top loser of the blue chips.European multinational aeronautical corporation AIRBUS GROUP lost 1.23 percent. French multinational advertising and public relations company PUBLICIS GROUPE lost 1.17 percent.

French multinational retailer CARREFOUR rose 3.22 percent. European IT services Pvt ltd corporation Atos gained 1.40 percent. French company that produces distilled beverages PERNOD-RICARD up 0.96 percent. Enditem
