Chicago agricultural futures mixed in morning trade

Xinhua,January 24, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded mixed on Tuesday morning, with soybeans futures higher on forecasts for continued dry weather in key producer Argentina.

Despite strong global inventories, limited rainfall in Argentina will allow moisture deficits to rebuild in early February, according to Commodity Weather Group.

March corn was down 1 cent at 3.51 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1500 GMT, March wheat was 3.75 cents lower at 4.22 dollars, while March soybeans were 2.5 cents higher at 9.86 dollars.

Export inspections were higher for corn and soybeans last week while lower for wheat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a report Tuesday. Enditem
