TOKYO, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Firefighters were heading to the scene of a possible avalanche at the Kusatsu International Ski Resort in Kusatsu-machi, Gunma prefecture, north of Tokyo, local media reported Tuesday.

According to local reports, several people had been injured.

The avalanche occurred at around 10:35 a.m. local time (0135 GMT) Tuesday. Enditem
