Dollar changes hands just below 111 yen line in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands just below the 111 yen line in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely unchanged from levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar fetched 110.98-99 yen compared with 110.87-97 yen in New York and 110.78-79 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2256-2257 dollars and 136.02-06 yen against 1.2257-2267 dollars and 135.99-136.09 yen in New York and 1.2238-2239 dollars and 135.58-62 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
