British stocks down 0.20 pct Monday

LONDON, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.20 percent, or 15.35 points, to close at 7,715.44 points.

Barclays, a global financial services holding company, soared 4.34 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. NMC Health and Anglo American increased by 2.44 percent and 2.06 percent, respectively.

Rentokil Initial,a commercial pest control company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.97 percent. RELX, a global provider of information and analytics, dropped 2.64 percent. Paddy Power Betfair, an international sports betting and gaming operator, fell by 2.07 percent. Enditem
