JOHANNESBURG, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- South Africa's ruling party African National Congress (ANC) has discussed the issue of removing President Jacob Zuma last week but set no timelines, the ANC said Monday.
Ace Magashule, ANC General Secretary, told media that the ANC National Executive Council (NEC) has not made a decision to recall President Zuma, who has been under pressure to step down.
He said the NEC has agreed to ensure coordination between the party and government.
"The officials were seized with this matter and will remain seized with this matter. We had said there would be continuous interaction between President Zuma and (ANC) President Ramaphosa," Magashule said. Enditem
