Seoul shares end lower

SEOUL, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares ended lower Monday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) declined 18.15 points, or 0.72 percent, to settle at 2,502.11. Trading volume stood at 311.82 million shares worth 6.1 trillion won (5.7 billion U.S. dollars).

South Korea's currency finished at 1,070.1 won against the greenback, down 4.2 won from the previous close. Enditem
