LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets 109-104 here on Wednesday at the Staples center.
Led by their big men Blake Griffin and Montrezl Harrell, the Clippers overcame a 12-point third-quarter deficit, locking in their sixth straight win.
Griffin had 20 points and 12 rebounds while Harrell grabbed 18 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
"Tonight's Clippers win was even more impressive than the Houston upset. That was a playoffs-intensity-level game, which means this team just passed the kind of test that tells you they may truly be coming together and elevating their game in a way we haven't seen yet this season," tweeted Andrew Wallenstein, the Co-Editor-in-Chief for Variety.
Earlier in the week, the Clippers beat the Houston Rockets by 113-102 at the Staples center.
After Wednesday's game, the Clippers are tied with the Pelicans and the Trail Blazers for sixth place in the Western Conference, one place behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. Enditem
