Chinese banks report net forex sales in 2017

BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's commercial banks recorded net foreign exchange sales in 2017, the country's forex regulator said Thursday.

Commercial banks bought 1.6441 trillion U.S. dollars worth of foreign currencies and sold 1.7557 trillion U.S. dollars last year, resulting in net sales of 111.6 billion U.S. dollars, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE). Enditem
