WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump and his visiting Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev said Tuesday that the two countries are committed to promoting "an Enhanced Strategic Partnership for the 21st Century."
According to a statement released by the White House, the two leaders vowed to strengthen cooperation on political and security issues, trade and investment, military and people-to-people relationships through regular high-level meetings within the framework of an Enhanced Strategic Partnership Dialogue. BOGOTA -- At least seven people were dead on Tuesday after a Colombian Army helicopter crashed in the northwestern department of Antioquia, according to military sources.
The Colombian army announced in a statement that the Mi-17 helicopter, with 10 people on board, was carrying a mission around the town of Caucasia and crashed at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. (Colombia-Helicopter-Crash)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Tuesday that the world has gone in reverse as peace remains elusive.

ABUJA -- Five people, including two suspected fighters of the terror group Boko Haram, were killed early Tuesday in an attack near Nigeria's northeastern town of Madagali, a local official said.
Local government chief Yusuf Mohammed told reporters the suspected terrorists attacked Pallam Village near Madagali, killing a local security man, a shop owner and another man who tried to escape in the dawn attack which lasted about an hour. (Nigeria-Boko Haram-Attack)

RIYADH -- Saudi air force intercepted on Tuesday a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militants in Yemen targeting the southern province of Jazan, Al Arabiya local news reported.
