Riders from Bolivia, Haiti, Hungary, Honduras, Iraq, Jordan, Mauritius, Mexico, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Zambia will compete for the first time in the Argentinian capital.
Overall, 30 countries and regions have qualified from around the globe and will participate in the jumping competitions, the sole discipline representing equestrian and one of the 32 sports on the program at this third edition of the summer Youth Olympic Games, which are held every four years.
The YOG, which were launched in Singapore 2010, were created to reach out to young athletes worldwide, inspiring young people to take part in sport and adopt and live by the Olympic values. The 2018 YOG will bring together almost 4,000 young athletes aged from 15 to 18 from 206 countries and regions around the world for a 12-day period. Enditem
