Dollar changes hands in lower 111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, marginally higher than its levels late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.14-15 yen compared with 110.97-111.07 yen in New York and 111.36-38 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2191-2191 dollars and 135.49-56 yen against 1.2195-2205 dollars and 135.36-46 yen in New York and 1.2062-2063 dollars and 134.33-37 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
