Gunmen kill 4 women in western Iran

TEHRAN, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Gunmen opened fire on a crowd in Iran's western city of Kermanshah on Friday, killing at least four women, Tasnim news agency reported.

In the shooting incident that occurred at 9:53 on Friday morning, the gunmen aboard a car shot the four women to death and escaped away.

Judicial authorities in the Kermanshah Province refuted the possibility of a terrorist attack.

The victims were a mother and her three daughters, Mohammad Hossein Sadeqi, a judicial official in Kermanshah, said.

The gunmen have been identified and their arrest is high on the agenda of the security forces, he said. Enditem
