BRUSSELS, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- With electric scooters, hoverboards, mono-wheels and other personal mobility devices increasingly common, the 96th Brussels Motor Show will dedicate space and time to display the latest developments in urban mobility, micro-mobility and combined transport.

Mobility in cities is on the threshold of a revolution, with motor traffic and public transport being supplemented by clever and convenient mobility solutions such as car sharing and ride sharing, as well as bike sharing and smart combinations of various modes of transport, FEBIAC, the show's organizer, said in a release on Wednesday.

The show, set from Jan. 12 to 21, 2018, will present all the major makes on the Belgian motor market, as well as motorised two-wheelers and an exhibition of car-related works of art and jewellery. Last year's show attracted over 437,000 visitors.

The show will unveil a range of ecological technical innovations on January 16 by a company involved in collecting, processing and recycling wrecks of car, batteries of electric and hybrid cars. Local officials from Belgium will sign environmental conventions aiming to develop in great detail the collaboration for optimal recycling of vehicles and batteries of electric and hybrid cars, according to the show's organizer.

For the entire length of the show, around 140 young mechanics will compete against each other for entrance opportunities to Euroskills 2018 and Worldskills 2019, two high-profile championships of vocational skills. Enditem
