German shares lose 0.78 pct Wednesday

FRANKFURT, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 104.25 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 13,281.34 points.

German tire specialist Continental lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.74 percent, followed by European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 and housing association Vonovia, which lost 3.16 percent and 2.82 percent respectively.

Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and airlines Lufthansa were the top three winners, rising 4.54 perccent, 2.36 percent and 1.76 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 363.80 million euros (436.26 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
