CAPE TOWN, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in South African major news outlets on Wednesday.

-- South Africa's economy is expected to grow by just 1.1 percent in 2018 - one of the lowest rates in sub-Saharan Africa, according to the World Bank.
