NAIROBI, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Wednesday.
-- President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto dismissed claims of divisions in government triggered by delays in forming Cabinet. Appearing together for the first time since the president unveiled part of his Cabinet last week, the two downplayed perceived divisions insisting all was well.
Kenyatta and Ruto assured the public that they were in agreement and the only politics they would allow is on how to deliver their mandate in the next five years. (The Standard)
-- Environment agency has blamed Uganda for challenges it is finding in eradicating plastic bags mainly in border towns, five months after the ban took effect. Kenya's neighbours have not banned the plastic bags. (Daily Nation)
