Spanish shares gain 0.27 pct Tuesday

MADRID, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark stock market Ibex-35 up 0.27 percent or 28.10 points, to close at 10,426.50 points.

A total of 24 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Spain's fourth largest bank Banco Sabadell advanced 2.14 percent followed by Spain's third largest bank Caixabank and insurance company Mapfre that rose 1.74 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.

Supermarket chain DIA lost 2.59 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Infrastructure company Acciona went down 1.49 percent and electricity supplier R.E.C. lost 1.26 percent. Enditem
