ITF lifts Uganda's suspension

KAMPALA, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has readmitted Uganda Tennis Association (UTA).

Uganda had accumulated affiliation fees arrears between 2007 to 2010 and this led to the suspension.

"We have had to pay 6,000 U.S. dollars per year since our full suspension in 2010 plus the arrears between 2007-10 hence totaling 50,000 U.S. dollars. We are happy that our suspension has officially been lifted," said UTA President Cedric Babu on Monday. Enditem
