LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Los Angeles Lakers took out the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night at the Staples center, snapping a nine-game losing streak.

In a game between two teams standing at the bottom of the Western and Eastern conferences respectively, the Lakers showed more eagerness to win in order to avoid two embarrassing records: tying for their longest-ever losing streak and the longest losing streak at home in franchise history.

Led by point guard Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, eight players of the Lakers scored two figures. Ball got 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in his second game back from his shoulder injury while Ingram got 20 points.

Hawk's starter point guard Dennis Schroder took a game high 27 points.

After the game, the Lakers improved to 12-27 on the season. Atlanta is now bottom of the league, 10-29 on the season after losing their third game in a row. Enditem
