NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 21 km NNW of Sarpol-e Zahab, Iran at 15:22:09 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 34.6494 degrees north latitude and 45.7993 degrees east longitude. Enditem
