ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Friday.

-- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said Ethiopia is working to expand its global representation to match with the country's current diplomatic activities and international recognition.

-- A fact finding team established by the House of People's Representatives (HPR) has announced that 107 individuals suspected of violating human rights in the Oromia and Somali border conflict are under investigation.

This was revealed Thursday when the team presented its observations during a field visit to both regions to the HPR. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen said 500 million birr (18.51 million US dollars) has been allocated to rehabilitate those who were displaced by the conflicts which occurred in border areas between Oromia and Ethiopian Somali regional states. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- GIGAWATT GLOBAL, an Israeli company said it will invest 500 million US dollars in Ethiopia in renewable energy and human resource development.
