NAIROBI, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Friday.
-- Ruling party Jubilee and opposition National Super Alliance have hit a deadlock on the much anticipated national dialogue to end the political standoff brought about by last year's bitterly contested polls.
Before the two sides open channels for communication, politicians from both sides are already dismissing each other's agenda for the proposed talks that are being pushed by churches and diplomats. Their positions point to a stillbirth at the negotiating table as neither side trusts each other. (Daily Nation)
